ReplyDeleteModels are looking very good! pretty decent size army all ready. I see you really like the house garde. I'm probably going more towards the mage hunter side of the models. but to each his own I guess :)
Your scheme fit's really well with your basing and has a very nice over all feel. Hoping to see a battle report of them one day on a gaming table that does your army justice.
Hoping retribution get's a mod for vassal soon so I can start playing some games and try to make some sense of this game.

I don't have any local opponents at the moment, but when I do, I'm going to try and start documenting/vblogging battles :)
and my new years resolution was to get some scenery and a couple of gaming boards made by the end of the year :)
I can imagine I was sold on the MHSF the moment I started readying the faction book. Kaelyssa also spoke to me from a gameplay,fluff and models point of view so an easy dicision :)
ReplyDeleteyeah same here I would love to make a battlboard with some snow on it would look wicked!. Other wise you might consider making yourself a little display board to take pictures on and display your army while it seeks an opponent.
Retribution vs Retribution should be a interesting matchup since most games these days are vs other fations I have yet to see any ret vs ret action on the internet.

ReplyDeleteVassal is a good way to learn, as it means you learn by doing, which for me, is a lot easier. fancy a game sometime?
yes so much rules that need linking and are exeptions to other rules and so forth. So that's a bit tricky especially the charge and attack rules are a bit tricky as are the squad rules.
ReplyDeletesure think lofty sounds like a plan. I really don't have a great knowledge of the rules yet but would love to game-learn them.

Loshemisphere - That's one of the attractions of Warmachine to me, the exact same army is totally different dependent on caster, so instead of collecting endless amounts of minis for a different "feel" to a force, just switch the leader :) genius
